As 2023 comes to a close, so is also the first few months of life and collaborative work at the independent coffee lab. We are very grateful and appreciative of all the companies and individuals who have trusted thus far, whether by participating in the many events we’ve had the pleasure to host, or by using our professional services. It is a true privilege to be able to work alongside so many passionate people and we feel very lucky to be part of such a kind-hearted industry and community. With quite a few projects currently under way, lookout for some exciting news at the start of next year. We can’t wait to share these with you and flourish together in 2024.

We’re also delighted to announce our very first coffee tasting club dedicated to all coffee enthusiasts! Join us for a fun and (in)formative morning of coffee tasting at our ‘cupping’ lab in Central London. Taking place on Saturday the 20th of January from 9.30am to 12pm, this first edition will be showcasing 8 coffees from 4 different London based coffee roasters:
Camden Coffee Roastery (Camden)
Perky Blenders Specialty Coffee (Waltham Forest)
Curious Roo Coffee Roasters (Chiswick)
Elsewhere Coffee Roasters (Deptford)
No prior training or experience in coffee tasting is necessary; we will guide you through all the steps during the session. Whether you are starting your journey in the wonderful world of quality coffee or are a seasoned professional barista, this is a great opportunity to deepen your knowledge and taste a wide array of coffees produced by some of London’s finest coffee roasteries. Each participant will be provided with an individual tasting set on the day to enjoy and will also be given a sample set of 8 x 100g, one of each coffee tasted together, to take home and brew with friends or family afterwards (that’s enough coffee to brew over 50 cups).
